How To Get Midi Loops with Logic Pro

How to get Apple loops in Midi format rather than waveform format:

With the screenshot below, you'll notice that the first loop on the list has a blue icon with a soundwave on it. These are only waveforms. The green icon with the note on it, however can show up as both a waveform and midi when you drag it over to your track area. I noticed that when I clicked on the green icon, held the mouse button down, and dragged that over to the track area, it shows up as a midi file. If I tried clicking over the name or anything else on that row, it would show up as a waveform. Try dragging the green icon and see if that works for you. That's how I've been getting my midi notes from Logic Pro's loops.
